Who doesn’t love steak? When doing my meal planning and deciding what I’m going to make for the week, I always run through my list of easy go-to meals and then I move on to the more difficult things. With my family deciding to eat healthier this year, I have been a lot more conscious of what I’m making. Finding healthier substitutes for a lot of my recipes have been a huge problem for me due to the fact that a lot of brands DON’T have a gluten, sugar or healthier substitute for many of the major ingredients.

What I love most about Harris Teeter is their Harris Teeter Organics brand. Many of the produce is locally sourced, which means they are grown right here in the region (most of the time the state). The Harris Teeter Organics brand has expanded to not just fresh fruits and veggies, but they have everyday items such a condiments and juice, they really have everything covered. So finding alternatives to ingredients has been a lot simplier over the last few weeks. Which means Jay’s favorite recipes can now be made with a healthier subsitute and we don’t have to worry about making it a cheat day. Plus the kids are learning how to substitute certain foods.
