I’m no stranger to travel. Wedding weekends are usually pretty busy, and I am the first person to admit that I don’t eat like I’m supposed to. What’s worse, I normally take the day after to recover and I STILL end up either not eating, or not eating the proper things.
When I’m driving long distances to weddings, especially night weddings, I normally pack whatever I can so that I can munch in the car and during the bridal prep. I will keep a few small snacks in my camera bag with me to eat after the ceremony and during small breaks at the reception.
I know a lot of photographers request food during the reception, while this is in my contract that I should be given a ‘hot meal’, I don’t always get the chance to sit and eat. By the time the evening is over, I’ve been on my feet all day and usually have another 2 hours in the car before I get home. This means I can go up to 12 hours or more without a proper meal. It’s a horrible habit that I need to stop.
I keep a six pack of water in a cooler in my car along with fresh fruit and nuts to keep my energy going. On occasion you may even see me with toddler size applesauce or juice boxes–depending on my day!!

I’m in the middle of my 16 week journey and I can honestly say that I have lost interest in working out!! On the days I get like this, I try to remember to keep pushing myself. The results are there, I’m almost where I want to be. But at least I’m not where I was.
I love a good quiche, Grandbaby Cakes but a terrific spin on an old favorite. Another fabulous leg day exercise are glute bridges. Completing 100 reps for each leg will give you smokin’ hot legs in no time!!
Happy Friday!!! I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July holiday!! While we spent the weekend moving, I was able to settle in on Monday and get some planning done before we got our week started again!!

The windmill is a wonderful exercise to cinch that waist and work on your core.
Begin by standing with dumbbell over your left shoulder and your feet wider than hip distance a part. Face your right foot outward and roll your right hand down towards your inner thigh as far as you can go. Squeezing your body and returning to a standing position.

After a while, doing the same thing over and over again begins to get a little boring. This can especially be true while working out. When using the seated leg press machine you’re probably thinking there’s only so much you can do right?
Check out these calf raises below on the the seated leg press machine. With standard, inner and outer placements you are able to work out those areas below the knees as well.
