It’s no secret breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I can freely admit I don’t take the time to eat breakfast every morning. Now obviously I make sure my children eat breakfast EVERY SINGLE DAY. In fact, I stay on them about making sure they eat breakfast because that’s how you get off to a good start. Naturally, I should follow my own advice. I needed some healthy breakfast ideas that would keep me wanting to eat breakfast every day. I’m picky when it comes to food and I need a variety.
In May, I began telling myself I was going to eat breakfast every single morning for 31 days. I succeeded! Now, I’m eating breakfast every morning creating another amazing healthy habit. Training myself for better habits has been difficult. I’ve learned consistency is key in everything I do, without it, I’m doomed to fail.
Back to breakfast.
Over the last month, I would create meals that were quick and easy for myself and the kids, things that could be eaten while sitting in the carline at school or walking out of the door.
I’m a huge fan of quinoa. My children are too and they don’t even know it. I try to keep it that way for all of our sakes!! Below are a list of my favorite quinoa breakfast recipes!
Egg is my go to food every morning for breakfast. I will have an egg in some form or fashion.
Skinny Fried Egg Avcado Toast (my personal favorite)
Prefer Oatmeal instead? Don’t worry about eating plain, bland oatmeal. Add some fruit or yogurt and you have a quick delicious treat. Even better, make it the night before and let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. Yum!!
